Original Post: Art contest with music as theme,or for that matter any past or future art contest.
I enjoy the art contests and I think it has a purpose for the ArtWanted group of members.I do however think that one must try to adhere to the contest theme more closely to make it interesting and something to learn from.To judge any contest entries of a contest makes it difficult for judges to evaluate when the entry does not conform to the central theme as stipulated.For me as an artist I try to compete rather with myself rather than with the other entrants so that I could improve my own standard/quality of artwork. Anyway let the fun and games continue and best of luck.
