That is exactly why I started this thread... Thanks to Melissa I HAD to find that Cramer's piece (and I did), and even though I think its a great piece, the important thing is that I actually went through his whole portfolio and really enjoyed it.
Cramer you have really interesting/great pieces there... have you considered using other types of ink, like india ink, instead of regular pen? I think you would be happy with the results... with that said, your black and white pieces were my favorites.
Thanks Melissa.
I'm bored again...
So this is how you play. Whoever is next to REPLY to this post has to pick his/her favorite art piece from the artist above of them, and explain why you choose that specific piece.
We will start with only doing one, then two, then three. So for example, lets say 12 artists already replied to this game, the next person to reply would pick his/her three favorite artists from those 12 and their favorite art piece (one per artist), and don't forget to explain why...
Since I'm the first one, I am going to pick one of my favorite artist/piece.
1. Artist: Marlene Burns. Art Piece: "ROSH HASHANAH AKEDAH" Why? This piece probably means/represents something completely different from what she intended it to be. I see it as an individual force against the world, a circle or energy not giving up even if it is going against the current. I also love the colors and the composition. :D
(If there were more artist above me, I would have written about more than just one)... and now it's somebody else's turn.
