Grapevine Leaves (Fossil Art)

FOUND A NEW HOME IN NEW YORK CITY

An other example of my fossil art project.
ALMOST SAME SIZE AS PICTURE!

Grapevine leaves from my yard,
which I imprinted on a small deep edge canvas.

6"x6" x 1-3/8" with profiled edges (15x15 x 2 1/2 cm)
Art continues on the bottom.
Sides are painted in matte black, which is a great contrast with these popping greens.
Satin finish.

Would look great in a bar area or at a vineyard, wine shop.

Part of my Teaching Program at OLGarts Studio
In a stepwise process I will teach you how to make your canvases pop.

Understand "Fossil Art" from the first layer to the final glaze.
You'll get demo's (power point presentations/ Keynote) and hand-outs of each step of this fascinating process as you layer your canvas with rich colors and intriguing textures.

You will learn how to bring sculptural ideas and effects into painting, how to incorporate this technique in collages to achieve richly worked paintings.
How to work in depth and light absorption in a piece of art to give it the waxiness desired.
