FOSSIL ART

Found a new home in Landenberg, PA (USA)

I'm starting my next segment of six weeks of ART LESSONS:
"A Little Texture Please!" @OLGarts Studio!

Understand "Fossil Art" from the first layer to the final glaze.

In a stepwise process I will teach you how to make your canvases pop.

You'll get demo's (power point presentations/ Keynote) and notes to take home of each step of this fascinating process as you layer your canvas with rich colors and intriguing textures.

You will learn how to bring sculptural ideas and effects into painting, how to incorporate this technique in collages to achieve richly worked paintings.
How to work in depth and light absorption in a piece of art to give it the waxiness desired.
I will give you tips how to make your precious artwork last for hundreds of years, without being effected by its environment

What did I use for this small mixed media painting?
POLY VINYL ACETATE (PVA) to seal the canvas.
(Either Caparol binder, Mowilith or Gamblin's PVA SIZE)
Advantage: it does not re-absorb atmospheric moisture, swell and shrink like rabbit skin glue does.

Modeling paste of any brand,

Acrylics: several different colors of green, copper, burnt umber, black, acra gold and acra burnt orange, iridescent gold.
All the leaves are from my grape vine. (second picture)

This painting will go as a present for the hostess of a 4th of July Party we're attending!
