Self Portrait with a Monkey Skull (2004)

I am holding a monkey skull. Two serpents wind up the sides of the painting. They are taken from a voodou sequin flag. A reflection on evolution and mortality, of course.

I like this one of you and your 'alter ego'. There are those healing hands again. The eyes are slightly sad but the brush strokes and colours are vigorous and life giving. Lovely!
