Elba shade

Soft pastel on Velour 24x33cm. Signed cryptically and dated 1999 LHC. A warm sunny mid aftternoon at the edge of a pine grove in Capoliverei/Elba. Photo not perfect but marks anyway soft on this kind of paper.

Great use of complementary colours on the path and for the shadows, and a lovely feeling of being able to walk down that path to find out what's around the corner. Shame the photo wasn't more detailed, but it still shows it to be a lovely painting.
