Artist Reply: I am not sure what that means? Could you have missed the shadows? The tiles? Perhaps you missed the stairs? I realize the naked foot is disconcerting, shocking for sure and preventing the site of water in movement giving this a total abstract quality!
The viewer is left with the only existential question
worth asking: how deep is the water?
