The Third Horseman(Famine)

The third seal of the scroll is broken and a third horseman (the black horse rider) comes forth. This famine exists from monetary inflation and not shortages. A denarius was a day's wage for unskilled labor or the common solder (about 20$). The announcement of inflated food prices also contains a warning to stay away from the oil and wine. This suggests poverty and luxury co-existing side by side. Bread is now referred to by weight instead of loaf.
