At Sundown

This is an oil painting over a wood cutting board. The wood was primed with Gesso. My husband received the cutting board as part of a Christmas gift from work. We use plastic ones so he wanted to throw this one away. It occurred to me that it would be interesting to paint over it. Although the result is great, painting over wood was a very different experience.
