Inside of a Coral Rose II

Shot at Boerner Botanical Gardens, Hales Corners, WI, June 2008----------IF YOU'RE THINKING ABOUT DOWNLOADING THIS IMAGE instead of purchasing a print of it, I ask that you reconsider. I put a lot of time and effort into creating this image, so please don't deprive me of the rewards of that effort. Some people think anything they find on the Internet is free for the taking, like clip art. Not so; my photos are my property and are protected by copyright. If you download this image to avoid paying for it, it's as if you held me up and stole my wallet.

I really like image 4 of the rose center. My youngest daughter's name is Audrey.

Because you wrote about one of my paintings, I really looked at your portfolio. For heaven's sake, I looked quickly once before and believed you were a painter! You have a painter's eye for your subjects, and your photos are actually "painterly"! Does that make sense? Amazing!

Artist Reply: Thanks, Carolyn. Yet is does make sense. My dad is a painter, my mother was a photographer, and I greatly admire Georgia O'Keeffe.

Carol, I would LOVE to paint this beautiful rose of yours....

Artist Reply: Olga, thanks so much for your comment! By all means, if you see this rose as good source material for you, feel free to paint it. That's always an honor for me. I sent my daughter Nina 2 photos I'd taken of a castle on the Danube (from different angles), and she painted them both. I love them! When you get your painting done, you might want to include a link to the photo to show where the idea came from.
