This was an ad I designed and illustrated for the Airbrush Emporium for Airbrush Action magazine. The paint sponsor was Binny & Smith / Liquitex and the airbrush sponsor was H.K.Holbein who supplied me with two fresh airbrushes as well as some other goodies for the job.A YT-03 airbrush & a YT-06 airbrush that I used to illustrate this ad.The size of the original illustration was 12.75" x 16.5" painted with Liquitex on FRISK CS-10 illustration board.

The Airbrush Emporium shut down before 2000 as far as I remember. I can't remember when but it couldn't compete with Photoshop. Most artists I knew switched to working digitally. I used to buy a lot of my art supplies from Henry when I was an art student in North Vancouver. Then I lived and worked in Surrey and that made it difficult to get into Vancouver easily and quickly. My client's work changed and I found I needed art supplies he did not sell so I had to go closer to where I lived.

Whatever happened to Henry of the Airbrush Emporium? I used to buy supplies from his store all the time in Gastown.
