Crucifix Windows

The 50 foot twin pannels of faceted glass behind the 14 foot crucifix of Jesus is the focal point behind the altar of Church of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Montgomery, Alabama. The glass pattern corresponds to the pattern of the Descending Dove Window that is located in the back of the church over the baptisimal font. The "drops of blood" on these windows correspond with the "tonges of fire" on the Descending Dove window. Rays of light radiate at the head of the statue of Jesus coming from his crown of thorns. The bottom of the window coming from the floor (not shown)are vine patterns which represent Jesus and the cross as the main vine.
