This picture comes with a story. It was taken in my own back yard. I gave this Green Heron a peice of bread and it actually used this bread as bait to catch small fish in the lake. He would drop it in the water and wait patiently; then when an unsuspecting victim swims by, he would catch it.

I love the story, what an intelligent bird! Pretty too and a fabulous shot again, the kind that should be in a magazine!!! I had many birds in my life and one I had just died this year. I miss him dearly and will always. Found out what I was misssing when I got a bird for a pet. Such loving crafty creatures, delicate and charming. God bless you for these pictures.
