Annie's Beauty

My sister-in-law always has a beautiful garden of things to smell, and things to eat. I spoted this beauty on my last visit and had to paint it. Thanks Annie for the lovely times and scenery. This was digitally painted using a Wacom tablet and wireless styless. I started with a blank canvas and drew, painted using Corel's Painter X software to chose the medium, brushes, as I would if I painted with real materials. This is not a manipulated photo or a photo that was automaticly changed into a painting using software.

Excellent painting and such delicate and precise work. Great image, Terry. Hope this finds you well and happy and bless you and yours. Happy Halloween. Michael

Artist Reply: Thanks Miguel Happy Halloween to you! I will be out at the local town carnival running a booth since the kids are so rural out here they need safe areas and places to trick or treat. I'll try to some more works up today if I've time.

Beautiful composition and colors. Lovely painting!

Artist Reply: Thanks John. I often take reference photos and frame them out as I would a painting. It helps me remember what I was thinking of when I took the shot. I love digital cameras as I can see if I got just what I wanted. I need to work on my photography skills but am lazy with it. Still, I'm learning, more focus on painting than photos for now.

Artist Reply: Thanks Lawrence, Still learning as I go, but love digitally painting, no spills or clean up like I always have with a real canvas.
