This is a good horse painting, but I notice the hooves in front look very large like they have those awful torture shoes attached called soring that hurt and cripple a horse so they have an unnatural gait that some riders think is attractive.

Artist Reply: Artist Reply: Yes, I know about soring and abhor it. My friend owns this Friesian and doesn’t use artificial gait enhancements ...however what you might be seeing are the feather hair, that a long and flowing...mostly left untrimmed, making the hooves look larger... plus, Friesians have a natural high stepping trot. Or, I might just have painted the hooves too large. Thanks for your comment....
