This image took me over 200 hours to work on. Made for a DA contest. The concept was based off a Lithuanian tale of Egle. A woman who marries the king of serpents has four children by him. Her family kills her husband leaving the sea red with blood when she calls for him. In anger she transforms her and children into trees. I thought it would be fun to portray her as a dryad. Medium: Pen and Ink for original drawing Photoshop and Painter for coloring
