Suburbia-The Downtown

(c)2007 I remember lots of trips to many department stores as a kid with my Mom and my brother probably during the summer vacation months. And on the weekends our whole family would hit the department stores in the malls. These big stores would almost always have a cafateria where we would have lunch. Don't ask me why,...but one such day, while we had just finished our lunch, a handsome, grey haired, casually dressed, tall, solid built gentleman came by our table and complimented my dad for being blessed with such a happy, good looking family. He then put his hand on my head like the way a pastor would to anoint a person. He said, "How are you getting along young man?". And I said, "O.K." He then said to my dad what a handsome boy you have here while smiling a beautiful smile at me. And I remember feeling good all over in His presence. Many, many years later, as an adult, I had found the Lord through studying with Shepherd's Chapel. Many supernatural things were happening to me. But one morning I woke up, sat with the Lord in prayer, and planned my day. An answering machine I wanted to look at was at the store now occupying the space in that old mall where the department store had been. I went there later that day. I was looking at the answering machine when in the quiet of the whole store a loud trumpet like voice filled the air, "This woman needs help!". I turned to look at Who had yelled. I was surprised to see the same tall, grey haired, well built gentleman standing there with a woman who could not get anyone to help her. But He looked just exactly the same as He did from when I'd seen Him as a little kid. He was even wearing the same clothes. I turned back to look at the answering machine to think about it. Then I looked back to try to get a better look at Him,...but He was gone. That is the only time I'll share of having met the Lord. I'll never forget. :O)
