54" X 81", oil and enamel on canvas Joseph Campbell speak of the artistic experience being similar to the shamanic experiece. Each must be transparent to transcendence. In this image I was inspired by Campbell's explanation of the Kundalini, and the Tibeten Book of the Dead.
