(c)2007 Friends are special,...a rare commodity. A true friend is in the thick of it, with you, right there by your side. A person who fits the character of a good friend is one who listens,...I mean really listens to your thoughts and feeling as you listen to theirs. A friend does not run when troubled times hit. A "true" friend lifts, supports and encourages as swiftly and consistantly as they are there to correct if they see you faultering. They are bold,...yet compassionate. And eager and able to put a smile on your face during life's less pleasant roads. Understands pain,....and is willing to bare it for you as much as they can until you are able to do so for and by yourself. My pastor is such a person, and he reflects the Lord almost perfectly. I thank the Lord for him not often enough. God bless him and his family and I look forward to walking with him in the near future if it's God's will.
