I was craving some fresh picked peaches like the ones I used to pick growing up. I could almost smell the warm scent of the summer heat on the ripe fruit. I am drooling over the dream of tasting the sweet, sticky juice. I'm in the mood to make some peach pies, peach preserves, but no fresh peaches to be had. I'll be counting down the days until they are ready for picking. Frozen and can peaches just aren't the same. I've eaten up all my dehydrated slices I make for healthy snacking, better than candy. Guess I'll just be dreaming until then! Doesn't help I've some rosy peach colored roses blooming in the garden. I might just eat some of those and make a tasty salad of the petals. I am planning my orchard list now of all the fruit trees I will plant in the next few years after we move. I am so dreaming of that garden of delights. I'll have some hammocks and easels set about, and benches to get cosy, so much fun and art inspiration to do with it all. Meanwhile, I'll dream of peaches, if not, well nectarines!
