I wanted to paint a garden scene and incorporate more flowers with a statue. The statue is of a young country maiden carrying two baskets. A neighbor had this statue in her front yard and I arranged the painting around her. A picturesque English country garden with a bench just waiting for someone to take a seat and linger for a bit.
