ANNE FRANK... SURVIVOR (2 portraits in Acrylic)

Annaliese Marie Frank was an incredible survivor. Her personal chronicles made public by her father's permission and consent, have touched thousands of people worldwide. To visit the Frank House (The Secret Annex) in Europe, is a life changing and most memorable experience. The first displayed acrylic rendition is just a portion of a much bigger canvas I painted in acrylic and oil layers to commemorate this precious human being. I incorporated various levels of memorabilia and effects, and also showed the forensic age progression she would have developed within the finality of her family's hiding before the Nazi capture which ended her youthful life. This piece should be on display in 2013. It was a study composed of about 6 different black and white photographs of her, I assembled the final composition in acrylics and airbrush in 1999 and ended up replicating the jewish star in course fabrics, threads and tintures. Her actual handwriting was then transfered and overlayed before the clearcoat was applied. This portrait of Anne Frank was purchased by Doctor Peggy Wilson Jordan's private collection and is on display in Panorama City, California. In hindsight, as well as present perspective, I can say that I learned a tremendous amount from this subject and endeavor. H Rios (213) 435-9611 feel free to call about inquiries.
