CASE ANALYSIS: I received a call from recording artist Brent Jones requesting me to put together an idea he had envisioned for a CD compilation he was about to release. We discussed the feel and direction of his music, the age groups and listeners he was targetting, the look he was attempting to achieve, and the content of his concept. I completed the roughdrafts and emailed these sketches. After his approved final direction, I scanned his choices and completely constructed this graphic illustration and color harmonies requested. After the final text and spinal formatting was executed, the lettering and photographs materialized. (PHOTO A) shows this design at a 2 1/3 point of completion. (PHOTO B) shows his final choices and the details I painted in before digitizing the lettered layout. He was happy with the results. H Rios (213) 435-9611
