1 Maccabees 1:36-40 "The citadel became an ambush against the santuary, and a wicked adversary to the savior of Israel. And they shed innocent blood around the sanctuary. Because of them the inhabitants of Jesrusalem fled away, and she became the abode of strangers. She became a stranger to her own offspring, and her children forsook her."
