Grandmother's Peace

With the sudden passing of my Grandmother in 2005, I was not fortunate enough to do the painting of a sunset she requested. So, during the funeral arrangements, we picked out her urn which was a beautiful finished pine. It was suggested to me to do a wood-burning(pyrography) scene of some sort for her on the urn. I finally got to do the sunset she wanted. If you look close, you can see an angel in the clouds. This image came to mind to include when my son and I were travelling back home after the funeral. Beleive it or not, we saw the shape of an angel in the clouds. I couldn't beleive it myself, so I asked my son what that cloud looked like to him, and without me suggesting anything, he said, "It's an angel, Mom! Cool!" So, this tribute has put my heart at rest, knowing that she finally got her sunset.
