Sunbathing on the Roof

This is a watercolour,i made in 1985,of my brother ,Barak...Sunbathing on our roof,...I was still living with my parents then...And this is the roof they used to have.My brother here is a teenager.One of very few watercolour ,i made with people,during ALL those years.Copyrights (c)Nira Dabush...THANKS FOR VIEWING AND COMMENTING...have a MARVELOUS DAY!

You make it look so easy Nira. Everything is perfect with just the right amount of detail yet so minimal with lots of space.

He looks soo very relaxed! Sleeping in the warm sunshine like a cat does.. nice job with the shadows and well done with your work on the body structure, well proportioned! Excellent watercolour.. :o)

LOve this picture Nira! Reminds me very much of a painting by the British artist, David Hockney when he was living in California in the 80s. Fabulous feeling of a sunsoaked terrace. Love everything about this painting!

Artist Reply: Thanks SO MUCH,Rusty...and I'm familiar with David Hockney's works...since the 80's actually...But i was never really influenced by his works.I was just siiting there with my brother on the roof,with my watercolours..and did it...it was in the time,i was a student,i think in the first year for my studies.I'm glad you enjoy this ,Rusty.Good night to you.
