Mike Love, one of the Beachboys

Nautilus Fitness magazine asked me to take some shots of Mike for the cover and inside article on how he stayed in such great shape while touring and doing concerts and such. He was a really nice guy to work with, and showed alot of patience with all my requests to pose this way and that. His home was on the cliffs overlooking Santa Barbara coastline, he had a teepee that he liked to meditate in, and man, was he a gracious host. His wife and daughter were absolutely stunning in their beauty.

Pretty cool the opportunities your talent has blessed you with. I Listen to the Beach Boys music quite a bit when I'm painting. I was pretty stoked to see them live at a free concert, Washington D.C., 4th of July, 1981

Nicely done.... can feel the personality of the man.

Artist Reply: thankyou, Mike was a very easy going guy and very natural to work with. We got along instantly I think, so he did not feel pressure to act anything but how he really was.
