Minimalist Performance Artist's Self Portrait

(C) 2006 Elton Houck ---------------------------------- It is nice to fine one that appreciates the tedious hours and hours to complete such an arduous work as this...Many fail to understand the preparation process can be so extended and tiring...First one must think about the work...and of course a long nap helps sharpen the mind...so after a three to four hour nap, one must renew one's strength in preparation for the project...A large repast...an 8 course meal is suggested...And since the intake of Lange amounts of food and drink is itself a strenuous task, it leads to another refreshing nap to sharpen the mental facilities...After a nap, it is time to consider the project...no man is an island so the next step would require one to embrace the company of family and friends to excite the emotional well of the artists soul to establish a more creative environment...This proceedure can be quite metally taxing and can exhause the artist...The artist must now be reentergized with additional food and drink...and as this can be a laborious process, to insure maxium alertness, the artist now must seek refreshing by diving into an extended nap... Well you can see after several days, weeks, or even months of preparation for the Minimalist project, the masterful work is well worth the public acclaim and accolades extended to the Minimalist...for he is a pilgrim, a soldier, a poet on the forefront of the adventurous, dangerous, exciting and clandestine world of art. And now after completing this explanation of the dangers and pitfalls and the personal sacrifice of the Minimalist, I feel overtaxed and am in need to leave you now to consume a large meal with much drink, and then take an extended nap as I prepare to venture down that long dark road of preparation needed to birth another minimalist masterpiece...
