Ford Model A Closed Cab Truck

It was Edsel Ford and his ideas of design and style that brought the Model A into existence. His father, Henry, stubbornly refused to accept that the day of his beloved Model T was over. Eventually, Edsel, and the fact that the Chevrolet and others were making terrific cuts into Ford sales, convinced Henry that the change had to be made. The Open Cab or Roadster Pick-Up truck was built on the passenger car chassis. These models were designed to meet the demand for an inexpensive light delivery vehicle. The more costly Closed Cab models however provided much better protection from the weather and by 1931 the Open Cab models were no longer popular.
