Healing

Illustrated poem in memory of those lost in the 9/11 and Oklahoma City, OK attacks. My older sister, Heidi Vanlandingham, wrote the poem and I illustrated it to her specifications. The children symbolize all cultures and how we need to come together. One child remembers our past, one child sees the present, and the last child looks to our future and leads the other two into it.

Such a beautiful painting, and an accompanying heartfelt, comforting, and inspirational poem. This art and poem composition also is perfect healing for the tragic recent school massacre in Connecticut. Susan, you and your sister Heidi are very talented.
