Foden steam truck

Edwin Foden initially produced stationary steam engines and steam tractors and started building steam trucks in 1896, claiming to be the oldest truck brand in the world (?). Sales were mainly aimed at the British market, although a number were also sold abroad. In the early 1920s, with the emergence of more powerful diesel engines, sales slowed down, so that Foden also started installing diesel engines in his trucks from 1932 onwards. In 1934 the last steam truck left the factory. Image size: 260 x 360mm
