The watercolor shows the island with the Vlacherna monastery opposite Corfu town. The island is connected to the mainland by a pier that also serves as a landing stage for the tourist shuttle boats to the Muizen-island (so named after its shape), a little further away. These two islands are an extension of the airport runway and the planes fly just fifty meters over them due to the short runway. Very impressive ! Image size 260 x 360mm.
