I had sketched a face like this one on a scrap in 2019 and came across it today. I actually have as many as five recent drawings I could give the Ted Turner treatment to but opted to work on this face as it was a bit different. This is a 5.5 by 4.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper and Original Jones Art reaches out once again into the treacherous cyberspace with another small message in a colorful bottle here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Not only a long face but looks totally ticked off! Excellent work as always.

Artist Reply: It's interesting how a little tweaking around the eyes, or eye in this case, can give the viewer visual clues as to the mood of the subject. Unlike a dog who snarls and snaps his teeth when angered or aggressive, humans have a more subtle set of visual clues. Which is why, I suppose, you can't assume that a laughing/smiling person is truly happy or a face with flattened affect is really sad and/or devoid of emotion. Who of us is emotionless at any given moment, really? Thanks, Ginger? :)
