In matters of the heart, I've many times found myself less than fortunate. Sometimes I look up thinking to see a dark cloud following like a faithful dog. What's the old expression? It always rains on the unloved. But at least being alone affords me the opportunity to work on my art. So far the work hasn't walked out on me and I haven't given up on it. It's a relationship of long standing. This is a 7.5 by 5.25 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. It's one of the things Original Jones Art does to occupy his mind and time here in northwest Austin, Texas.

Oh-oh, sorry to hear the old ticker isn't working well. Praying for the best for you. It's good that you have great talent and can use your art to not only help yourself but others also. Hang in there!

What an interesting way to express you are alone, both image and words! True, you're free to work on art any old time you please. Lot of benefits being single. Lot of benefits being with someone also. As with everything, always pros and cons. Love the upside down heart. I would never have thought of that! Excellent work, as always.

Artist Reply: I think I was having a pity party with me, myself and I other day, Ginger. I was just thinking about how people 'end up' so to speak. It's usually not how they expected to, I'll wager. Now that my heart isn't working just right, the image probably works on multiple levels. Thanks for the nice comment, Ginger. Much appreciated. :)
