The Monte Baldo dominates Lake Garda and the shores of the lake consist largely of steep walls. In the years that we stayed there, it never occurred to us to go and see what the hinterland actually looks like. Until this year. We were amazed by the beautiful mountain landscape with deep valleys and rock formations that stretch behind the mountain. You drive along the narrow mountain roads, past a few sparse villages, up to an altitude of 1400 m. The most astonishing thing, however, was the Madonna della Corona (Madonna of the Crown) monastery, which leans on a steep cliff against the rock face of Monte Baldo. Image size: 260 x 360mm
