Freyja y Van Gogh en Fólkvangr

For those who don't know, Freyja is a goddess from Norse mythology, and Van Gogh is my cat (who died two years ago). Since last year I have a fascination for Norse mythology, and I wanted to do a painting about Freyja, but I didn't really know what. She is the goddess of love, beauty and fertility, and at the same time related to war, death, magic, prophecy and wealth. Something particular about Freyja is that her war chariot is carried by cats. While Odin takes one half of dead warriors to Valhalla, she takes the other (believed to be the defense warriors) to Fólkvangr. So, the idea came to me to finally paint Freyja with my cat in her arms at the Fólkvangr

Awesome interpretation of a mythological subject with a delightful feline "twist"! May Van Gogh (the cat) rest in peace and joy in the halls of Fólkvangr!
