I would have thought this to be a hyphenated word but Webster's says otherwise. Anyway, I started this drawing while watching a travesty streamed live into my tiny studio. This work does not, on first viewing, appear to be in any way related to said event but I think that something of that event did 'rub off' on the work. When I was a kid, my first haircut was a burr---sort of a Marine cut, my second was a flattop which I suffered with for several years. On second viewing of this, it could be suggesting that a lot of folks need a new barber or hairdresser. Someone has definitely taken too much off the top. This is a 9 by 8 inches gel pen drawing with color pencil. It is without a doubt Original Jones Art as he wonders why no mouthwash can get this bad taste out of his mouth in northwest Austin, Texas.

that looks a like you charles nice job

Artist Reply: Obviously, Ray, you haven't seen me lately. Ha! This one differs a little as I didn't start with a preliminary sketch. I usually try to finesse in the re-do though sometimes something is also lost. Hope you are doing great and enjoying this glorious new year where you are. :)

This work epitomizes the view of what the majority of the world sees of the American male youth culture. Brilliant depiction Charles.

Artist Reply: Well, Herr Anon, I cannot reply adequately regarding what the rest of the world 'thinks' or if it thinks at all. But it's like what I've said before, and I think it is true of not just things artistic; a person can only get out of something what he or she has inside to give. It's a pet theory of mine. :)
