Yes, we live weird times, but now imagine you were born in the year 1900 ... at the age of 14 World War I breaks out and ends 4 years later when you are 18. But 22 million people are killed. Grown up at last, but in the aftermath of the war the pandemic looms the Spanish Flu emerged. Everyone must wear a mouth mask but nevertheless 50 million people die. You are now 20 and luckily you survived! You fall in love, get married and have children, at the age of 29 you experience the collapse of the New York Stock Exchange and you survive the Economic Crisis which caused a worldwide inflation with enormous unemployment and even famine. By now you are 33 and in Germany come to the fear of everyone the Nazis in Power. At the age of 39, Germany invades Poland and the Second World War begins. You will eventually be 45 years old when the war ends. Sad balance: 60 million dead. Fortunately you are still alive! You are 52 at the start of the Korean War and 64 at the start of the Vietnamese war that ends when you are 75 and more than 4 million victims. Fortunately, you are still alive, but you immediately have to deal with the limitations of the First Oil Crisis. Anyone born after 1980 thinks his grandparents have no idea how hard life can be, but hard to imagine what wars and adversity they have survived. Today we are faced with a new pandemic. Pleasant is different, young people complain that they have to stay at home, no parties be allowed to build and wear a mouth mask. That their parents and grandparents had it so much better while these didn't have packed supermarkets, internet, television, mobile phones and web shops! None of that existed before! But the people have survived these difficult circumstances and maintain their zest for life. A small change in our thinking and our mindset can work wonders. Be thankful we're still here and do what you can to protect each other.

Beautiful card and insight into struggles and survival. Thankfulness no matter how difficult life can become is the key to remaining positive and hopeful of better times. Life on earth is a place where all are tested either by wars or disease or corruption of those in power. You must be very tough to have lived this long and creating art was your refuge and all your fans have benefited.
