Anhinga Submerged

The Anhinga shown here fully submerged fishing the edge of a small Lake called Crane's Roost in Altamonte Springs, FL. Nature have long called it "the Snake Bird" because of it's long sharp beak which it uses to spear fish. It is mostly known for sitting in the sun drying his wings for hours after swimming. They are beautiful creatures and cousins to the Cormorant.
