Blue Hour

This photo was taken during a stroll alongsiden the beaches in southern Norway during a particularly cold winter. In this bay the saltwater gets extraordinarily cold, and more so at this time, making the entire sea freeze up all the way out into the sea gap. We walked there at sundown, during which the environment becomes blue before everything darkens. In Norway, we call this the blue hour and it is the stuff of legends. Or rather; TV shows and children's cartoons. But it is a part of the culture to know about and appreciate. I am just a one of the lucky individuals that managed to capture it alongside a special phenomenon, which created a stunning effect. Almost as if Pixar had created it themselves.
