ARIO BARZAN THE GENERAL

I was inspired by a heroic battle between (Ario Barzan) a brave Persian military commander and (Alexander the great) the king of Macedonia at 330 BC. This battle happened to be the last stand of the Persian army. According to Greek and European historians (Arrian, Anabasia, Curtius and Diodorus), Ario Barzan and his noble sister (Youtab) fought bravely to their last breaths to keep the invaders out but at the end they were both killed. The Persians with 700 men fought and inflicted heavy casualties to Alexander's army of 14,000 but what changed the course of this battle was that the Persians were betrayed by a tribal chief that showed the alternate way to Alexander during the Battle of Persian Gate on 330 BC.
