View of Mount Baldy

12 x 16 inches framed. Painted in my signature "American verismo" style, this is a vedita painting (broad, distant view from on high) that depicts sky and land in harmony. The distant "Three Sisters Range" mountains combines with the land mass that is complicated in its structural forms of near and mid range tree lines and masses that rise upwards toward the right culminating in a long, distant view of a valley at the top right. On the left a yellow path winds downwards and towards the viewer. The closer trees in the center are painted impasto with broad brush strokes. the overall atmosphere is of natural light and energy in a light filled sky with dynamic movement and life.
