The Hawaian Chieftain

This is not a replica of a specific old sailing-ship but an ultra- modern yacht in the outfit of a 18th century topsail scooner. Just like the Lady Washington, the Hawaian Chieftain is operated by a professional and volunteer crew. She sails up and down the Pacific coast, educating students in the history of merchant trading, life of common sailors, and responsibilities of the ship's officers. The two ships often go out for trips together. Image size: 260 x 360 cm
