This is a photograph I took of my sweet and gentle Golden Retriever, Lizzy. It was taken in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of South Central Virginia. It was a very cold and icy day at Mabry Mill. All Lizzy wanted to do though, no matter how frigid the water was, was to chase the Mabry Mill ducks.

Artist Reply: Thank you for your wonderful comment, Marie! I truly appreciate it! Lizzy is thirteen years old now. She has been a sweet, mellow, loyal and loving friend! This was taken a few years ago in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. This photograph was taken on an extremely cold day at Mabry Mill on the Blue Ridge Parkway. She got into the pond after see the Mabry Mill ducks! The water was frigid!
