Japanese Portrait in Kimono

On a 15 X22 inch 400 weight cold-press paper, I laid out, drew, scribed,m erased light pencil, and injected the proper minerals to create this portrait of a young Japanese girl in my designed Kimono. Mineral used are as follows. some are a blend of others but in all this arethe ones. Realgar, Limonite, Burnt Umber, Ochre, Hematite ( blended with Gypsum Crystals crushed, if you shave the crystals it will not accept other minerals), bud crystals of the Realgar, Hematite-Scarlet, Copper oxide, Carbon Coal, Brittle Coal, and blend of tin oxide-with limonite, and an organic pulp from a wild Mushroom from the 8000 ft of the Sierras, This is the first portrait I have ever done of a Japanese, for personal reasons I never have because of my first wife Juanita Diaz Scott. Enjoy the blends of minerals and zoom in and see the wonders of crystals.

Vernonette Gaddy, a very eye catching name. Will have to add to my unheard of names before in the pass year. The list has grown to be now a small tablet. Let me thank you for the review, an artist drive to do another work, is heighten with the most important people that are is their world, their public. A review and a like or even dislikes are his snignal to keep on going. I have drawn since I was two in the dirt till I was seven. then it was pieces of old sheets (done with carbon coal) work on paper was done on Oat paste pieced together scraps from left over wallpaper stock. When doing portraits in carbon coal while living in Japan and doing my service in Vietnam (six tour in two and a half years) I took on a collective drawings of Kimonos and became quite good at designing my own with the help from the local Kimono designs and made for the Royal Family ( lived in Gov. Housing only quarter mile from their summer castle) So when asked to do kimono's I picked up the assignment and after 53 years the old hand did not fail me. I have done tree for the lady and her husbands order the work Titled Japanese Theme. Again I know you did not wish a book, but I get over joyous when reviewed. Scotty David M Scott Artist
