Sadly, only one of the baby swans was left when I checked in at the park two days ago. Predation is part of nature and every year, some of the young disappear. In past years, it has been suggested that they fell prey to coyotes or snapping turtles. This year someone suggested herons as the predator. It remains a mystery.
