This project displays a lenticular mural design. Standing across the street at just the right angle, you can view a layered blind contour drawing created by students in my Mural Arts summer class, along with fellow artist Michael Konrad. The image represents the juxtaposition of the neighborhood. We chose a subtle color pallet to represent how people may chose to view the neighborhood, and even miss the true value of the clutter that sometimes crowds a community. If viewers walk into the lot and turn around, a bright colorful wall of stripes will activate the space, and show you what hides under the surface of the brick and mortar, the cyclone fences, and the bleakness that some streets offer us.
