Il Penseroso, the melancholy/pensive man, is a poem by Milton. It talks about a certain source for poetic inspiration. ;) I used mostly gel pen on this piece. Image area 4.5 by 5.5 inches. Original Jones Art staying true to himself in northwest Austin, Texas.

Artist Reply: Thanks, Chris! I had done this little piece in an old sketchbook and almost forgot about it. I was an English major in the 'old days' and read a lot of the classics, so the title fell out quite naturally. :)
