It is probably easier to be a bird than a man. A bird has a limited skill-set predicated by instinct only, or so we are taught. A man's skill-set is potentially limitless, yet he willfully wears intellectual mule-blinds for the sake of blending in until, eventually, he mistakes this self-imposed limitation for reality. I think it's easier to be a bird than a man. ;) I used watercolor, w/c pencil, some felt-tip and gel pen. Image area 6 by 6 inches. Original Jones Art bird watching in northwest Austin, Texas.

Powerfully Great Work, Charles!!!!!!!!!!!

Artist Reply: I swear the 'bird' on the left has the eyes of Barney from The Flintstones. Ha. I guess you could say I drew inspiration from that sweet though 'empty-headed' character. It was unintentional yet effective. :) Hope you are doing great things to the north, Chris!
