I have heard the major lessons of the WW-II battles and how Der Zerstoerer did not fulfill it's promise of long range escort and supremacy. I have also heard of the folly of dive bombing and how four engine dive bombers just made the whole situation worse. Anyway, The whole story would fit in a single photographic frame in WW-II. The painting recreates the possible third person view.
